The Program That Could
Save a Students Life…
“The Just Say NO Magic
Show”
Although “Red Ribbon Week” is
just once a year, Drugs, Alcohol
and Tobacco are an ongoing
problem with our children all year
long. That is why I have developed
and am offering “The Just NO Say
Magic Show’ to schools throughout
the year.

Our children are introduced to
these dangers at a younger and
younger age every year. There is so
much peer pressure and
unfortunately many children are
giving in to these temptations.

It’s even worst that our children are
seeing their favorite sports heroes
and television stars being caught
using drugs and alcohol and
receiving nothing but a slap on the
hand. What message does this give
our children?

You can teach a child to “Just Say
NO”, but when they are faced with
peer pressure, it’s going to be the
feelings they have about
themselves, that will help them
make the right decision.

This 45-minute program could
change a child’s life and could be
the catalyst to bring a positive
attitude to your school.
The Key Features…

1. Educational & Entertaining

The best way to teach children is to
make it fun and entertaining. When
students are having fun they are more
likely to understand and absorb the
message, including:
* Drugs, Alcohol & Tobacco are not
the answers to make you cool.
* You are the only you in the world.
* You can do anything you want, as
long as you believe in yourself.
*  To be a True Friend YOU need to be
a Leader.

2. Magic

Everyone loves magic. That is why I
have found that the use of magic to
illustrate the key points works so well.
When they remember the magic, they
remember the message.

3. Audience Participation

Children do not want to just sit and
watch, they want to get involved, and
when they get involved they learn.

4. Uplifting

The goal of the program is not only to
teach children to say NO, but to help
raise their self-esteem and self worth,
so saying NO is easier.

The No-Bully Zone
INTRODUCTION

Bullying in schools is a widespread problem with
millions of victims. A very high percentage of
instances go unseen and unreported, making
this a hidden danger.

Unresolved bullying issues in adolescents have
been identified at the core of many adult
problems.

Often bullying is directly responsible for
behaviors in which children and
young adults act out against others.

School shootings, bomb threats, stranger
massacres, and other criminal acts have been
linked to students who were victims of bullying.

Bullying is a common and persistent problem
with many roots and causes. It sometimes stems
from home issues, poor parenting, societal
indifference or social isolation. It has been
attributed to video games, television,
too-affluent children and career oriented
parents.

Solutions attempted have included home
counseling, school curriculum changes,
after-school programs, church training
camps and in-school psychologists.

It appears there is no one cause or solution.
Expert consensus is that bullying is a complex
issue that must be dealt with through many
means and over a period of time.

This 45-minute assembly program will not stop
bullying at a school. But it is designed to open
communication about bullying and present some
solid practical advice to help prevent it.

It can be used as an opening or culminating fun
activity for a school that has a regular
consistent program in place.

It can help reinforce behaviors, reward
students for their efforts and prepare teachers
for immersion in a larger program. It is best
presented as a ground breaking starting point
for a school about to launch a new directive on
anti bullying or as an incentive to rekindle open
communication in an ongoing effort.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This elementary school assembly program was
created to provide an introduction to
anti-bullying
for both students and teachers. Schools may
opt to
present the program as a part of a kick-off drive
on a year-long school-wide program, or as a
culmination and synthesis of a program already
in
use. It serves well to either introduce students
and
teachers to common bullying concepts or to
remind participants of the current issues.
During the program, eight routines are
presented,
each representing a specific issue in an anti
bullying
campaign. Students watch, participate
and learn some identifying facts that will help
them define and recognize bullying in
themselves
and others. In addition, they will learn some
solid
and practical aids to help them overcome being
a
victim, encourage friendship and camaraderie
with others and prevent bullying by others.
Each
routine involves a specific magic trick and uses
the
trick to illustrate a specific point about bullying;
thus each routine is coupled with a learning
outcome about recognizing and preventing
bullying.
Greetings:

I have been performing magic for over thirty years.  I’have also, been involved with law
enforcement and a sheriff deputy for over twenty five years.

Everyday I see the results of drug use, bullying, low self esteem and poor choices.  That
is why I have developed and am offering “The Just Say, The No Bully Zone,  and Just
Smart Choices” programs.

The Just Say No, No Bully Zone, and  Just Smart Choices Shows  is  perfect for grades 1-
6 The programs are not a graphic or preachy program, but a Program that is interactive
and fun.

As you know students learn when they are having fun. Studies indicate that alcohol,
drugs, tobacco and bullying are still on the rise with students.

We know that knowledge is power.  This program is designed to teach them when and
how to say NO, what they can do to stop it, and how to make the right choice.

Our children are introduced to these dangers at a younger and younger age every year.
There is so much peer pressure and, unfortunately, many children are giving into these
temptations.

It’s even worst that our children are seeing their favorite sports heroes and television
stars being caught making poor choices; using drugs, alcohol, then receiving nothing
but a slap on the hand. What message does this give our children?

You can teach a child to “Just Say NO”, but when they are faced with peer pressure, it’s
going to be the feelings they have about themselves, that will help them make the right
decision.
